goodbye to 2008, we had such a great year and at the same time such a hard year....scarlett is now one and we had the pleasure to watch her grow into her own person.....from her smiling, laughing, crawling, walking, we enjoyed every minute of it....she is such a sweet girl and now busy, busy, busy with her own personality, completely different from trents....she won't sit still now, very independent, great sleeper, daddy's girl, and so precious...we are blessed to have her.
trent turned big five this year and has turned into such an amazing boy......i loved watching him this year be a big brother.....he is so in love with his sister, watches out for her, plays with her and shows her nothing but love.....he is also our chef, he loves to cook with me in the kitchen and i hope this interest will stay with him....this would be a great plus for a wife (wes doesn't cook), so i hope he sticks with it.......he is also our engineer, he loves to build things and watch how things work, ever since he was little...he has such a curiousity for life and i love this about him....he is also still a mama's boy and loves to snuggle with me....he always shows so much love to all of us.
wes is my rock and i am thankful everyday for having such a humble, caring, loving, positive, and handsome husband.....i wish i could be like him, and am so lucky he picked me as his wife.....he had a hard year, since he was laid off from his job and i admire him working so hard everyday to support our family.....i am blessed to have such a wonderful family.
we miss our family in california, but we know how much we are loved by them.....maybe oneday we will be closer...we love you all and wish everyone a great 2009!!!

hey van...love the post! you are one blessed woman, that's for sure. things are bound to turn around for many of us in 2009, but in the mean time, we should all be thankful for what we have :)

Happy New Year! Isn't it amazing how much growing the kids do each year? Especially in the first year, and it is so fun to see their personalities develop. Looks like you made it to CA for Christmas. I bet it was wonderful!
